Am Ch Daree's Simply Striking (imp USA) - Striker

Early in 2000, I was approached by Gwen Mulheron of Daree's Miniature Schnauzers in Oregon USA to see whether Striker would be of use to us in our breeding program.  As most of her brood bitches were Striker daughters he was being "under-utilised" and she felt that he had a lot to contribute to the breed here in Australia. His pedigree is rather illustrious, reading like a who's who of top winning American dogs.  He had been test bred to a blind bitch to ascertain his status as a carrier or otherwise of Juvenile Cataracts.  A litter of 5 puppies (all clear) resulted.  However Striker didn't think that was good enough and dashed out the door and caught her the next time she came into season.   A litter of 6 resulted.  I guess he liked to live up to his name :-)  Once again all 6 puppies tested clear giving him a status of 99.999% clear for Juvenile Cataracts.  He was also DNA tested clear for the disease Myotonia.  He has 6 US champions to his credit including the Top Winning Daree's Strike A Pose.  We just have to add to his tally here in Australia now.  Striker measured 13 3/4 inches and possessed an incredibly elegant neck, wonderful lay of shoulder and powerful rear drive.
